We in the NHU believe our services speak for themselves. It’s not the size of the union bureaucracy that matters…it’s the quality of services provided.
The NHU runs a lean, efficient, member-focused operation without sacrificing programs or services. In fact, we provide services and programs that many other PSAC Component unions simply don’t offer.

As you can see from above, we don't scrimp on programs or services. But when it comes to cost-effectiveness and value, the NHU is literally second to none. We have the lowest percentage dues structure of all 17 PSAC Component unions.
How do we do it? Prudent fiscal management is our watchword. Not as an end in itself. But because over the years we’ve seen that careful stewardship of our members’ dues money ultimately frees up more – and not fewer – resources for service and representation.
