NHU National Council
ROLE
The National Council serves as our union's governing body between the NHU’s National Triennial Conventions. It is charged with organizing the people, processes and resources of our union so that members have the capacity to advance their interests and improve their lives.

STRUCTURE
NHU National Council is comprised of a National President, a National Vice-President and a number of regionally-based Council members. These national officers are all NHU members, elected by the delegates at our Convention.
The National President is a full-time union officer, overseeing the operation of the NHU National Office in Ottawa.
The National Council meets several times a year to ensure the direction and activities set by the membership are carried out by all levels of our union.
