September 11 is deadline for 2009 NHU Scholarship applications

The National Health Union has for many years offered Scholarship Awards to the members and their children.

There are four NHU Scholarships awarded annually. The NHU Scholarship Committee is pleased to annouce that, effective this year, each scholarship has been raised an additional $500. The new amounts are as follows:

          • Two scholastic scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each.

          • One scholarship to an apprenticeship program in the amount of $3,000.

          • One scholarship to a member returning to school on a full-time basis, in the amount of $2,000.

The deadline for receipt of applications for our 2009 scholarships has been set for September 11. The application form, as well as scholarship guidelines, can be downloaded by clicking on your choice of RTF or PDF icons below. They are also available at any time on the ‘Scholarships’ page under the ‘Services’ main menu item.

We encourage those interested to complete the appropriate parts of the application form and submit it to arrive at the NHU National Office no later than September 11.
