Relief as Health Canada agrees to keep Fort Qu’Appelle office open

The NHU has welcomed the decision by Health Canada not to close its Fort Qu’Appelle office and consolidate its services in Regina.

Our union had made the case to the employer that the local population was best served by having direct access to services in their own community.

Keeping the Fort Qu’Appelle office open comes as a great relief to the members of NHU Sub-Local 40102, who would otherwise have had to relocate to either Regina or to First Nations healthcare facilities.
